Intuition or Influence: Transcending Power of Suggestion

I’ve been getting all riled up about something I’ve been noticing lately in spiritual spaces. And this New Moon in Virgo really amplified it 🌾

Over the last year or so I’ve been seeing a heightened amount of overgeneralized highlights for the New and Full Moon phases. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s super reassuring and promising that energy influences and information from the Sun, Moon, Numbers, etc. is becoming so readily available and common.

But how much of these readings and forecasts are actually inviting us to tap in intuitively? Or is this just another form or influence, power of suggestion from spiritual spaces that is being accepted, semi-unintentionally, semi-blindly, allowing the interpretation of someone/something outside of ourselves to influence our energy?

If I’m being honest, if I see one more highlight reel about how this New Moon is a powerful energy that you don’t want to miss, or that the upcoming Full Moon is going to be the most powerful portal for emotional release this year, I’m going to barf 🤢

For those of us who have been following cosmic energies, or the Moon, Astrology, Numerology, etc., for a while now, this is no longer enough. We’ve learned all we can from the over-generalized information that gets thrown around during all the well-known phases, transits and season.

And if you feel the same way about me, but are still naturally drawn to following or feeling into the energetic influences that are tugging at the strings of our life, you’re not alone! We’re ready to go another layer (or two) deeper.

The depth and substance that is lacking is meant to come from your intuitive interpretation, not some over-used, over-generalized forecast or reading that’s meant to snag the attention of the masses.

You’re ready for your version.

So instead of listening to someone else’s version of what this New Moon in Virgo is here to offer, check in with yourself with a couple of these cues:

1. Are you in a Yin state or Yang state of energy, mentally, emotionally or physically? Tune into each one individually and see what they feel like in your body and/or in your minds eye through symbols or senses.
2. What does the New Moon represent for you right now, in relation to your current energy state or phase of your personal cycle? What’s your intuitive invitation or interpretation of your current mood, mindset and motivational state?
3. What do you resonate with about the sign Virgo? Is there anything that stands out right now that is applicable to your current inner and outer experience? What else would you like to know better about Virgo and/or this mutable Earth element?
4. What are you ready to know, ready to affirm or ready to prepare to take action about?
5. Do you have any Virgo influences in your chart, either signs or houses in Virgo or the 6th House? Also consider where you have an opposition axis or square to Virgo, or a lack of Virgo altogether. Intuitively feel into what this might mean for you now.

Lastly, I just want to add that this doesn’t mean you’re not drawn to forecasts or readings, or the community or spaces that place emphasis on general insights and information.

I’ve been anchoring into this for myself lately, and it’s not that I’m disregarding or done with these spaces altogether.

The energy has changed though, and I’m no longer looking for answers outside of myself, or for accountability. I’m looking for a space where I’m given space to pull these musings out of myself, and to be unconditionally witnessed in connections and collaborations.
