The Cyclical Nature of Healing Parts of Self
During certain times, whether it’s due to energetic influences of the Sun, Moon, seasons or other cosmic phases, one might feel the nudge to check in with parts of themselves that were “healed”.
Initially, this may be accompanied by a sense of unfinished business, or the discouraging thought that “I’ve already done this, why is it back?”. Valid enough as those reactions might be, I have an invitation for you today…

What if, instead of thinking of this experience as a setback or failure of some kind, it’s actually the healed version of self, parts of self, or shadow work (however you’d like to define it) asking us to check back in.
As you soften and lean into this invitation, notice what part of you is wanting to check in, and before jumping to the assumption or conclusion that you’ve missed something or that the healing something didn’t “stick”, intuitively tune in and sense why this part is coming up.
Does this part of self want to show you how she’s been thriving and expanding since being healed?
Does this part of self have some new insight, wisdom or details to fill you in on?
Is this part of self ready for the next level of expansion or ascension?
The growth and gains of healing isn’t a linear process, it’s cyclical in nature.
Often times we’re confronted by past parts of our self that we automatically assume is lacking in some way, that we missed something or it’s so f*&#ed up we have to continually “heal” it.
As we bring healing to parts of our self, we think we’re bringing a clearing, closing or releasing experience…
What really happens is those parts “catch up”, in a way, to where we are now, clearing, closing and releasing the mental, emotional and energetic binds that kept them from moving with us in the same space we are now.
What if when those parts come knocking, they’re not looking to repeat the same story, but we (the “healed” version) keep repeating it because that’s what we think is being asked.
A core concept of the personal and spiritual healing experience is the notion that we’re constantly changing and evolving, so why would we not also have more to offer those parts of our self?
Furthermore, I think those parts that we heal and integrate also move through a version of growth and expansion, as we do, ready to support our whole being for our best and highest good.
